JANUARY
We started the new year off with a trip to Arkansas to visit family. Camden and Claire had a great time playing with their cousins. Kenlee, Jack, Emma Grace, Levi and Mallory all enjoyed entertaining the girls.
We also took a road trip to Baylor to watch a basketball game. We had a great time as a family and are looking forward to another basketball game in 2010.
**On a side note, the day after the BU basketball game is the day that I found out I was pregnant with baby #3.
FEBRUARY
Surprisingly, February temperatures weren't too bad. Camden and Claire spent a lot of time playing outside this month. They really enjoyed getting to break in their new Christmas presents...a bike and a car. Because of the nice weather, we also took a trip to the zoo. The girls are usually happy if they are doing something outside. What a blessing to have had such beautiful weather.
MARCH
Every Spring, I love to take pictures of the girls with lots of pretty flowers. Whether it's the Azalea Trail, the Daffodil Farm, or just a field of wildflowers. It's become an annual tradition. We started off with the Azalea Trail, however, we were about a week too early. So, we settled for some pretty tulips.
The next weekend we managed to see some beautiful azaleas and get some great pictures.
I made it to the end of my first trimester!
We ended the month with a major boo boo. Camden had a little accident while at church and ended up having to get stitches. She was so brave. I think she really enjoyed the extra attention!
APRIL
We started off this month with a trip to the Dallas Arboretum with Mrs. Caren and Charley.
We also headed back to Waco to watch a baseball game. Camden and Claire just love the bears!
We had a lot of fun Easter weekend. We decorated cookies at Marme's house, went to an egg hunt at church with Uncle Jeremy, dyed Easter eggs and so much more. What a busy, but fun weekend!
And found out we were having a...
MAY
This month, Camden's choir at church sang in big church. She always does so good!!
We also spent some time with Jax and Madeline at the spray park. All the kids LOVE the water!!
We enjoyed our time together on Mother's Day and had a very relaxing Memorial Day!
JUNE
Camden and Claire were super excited when summer rolled around because they knew that meant swim lessons with Mrs. Debbie. They love Mrs. Debbie and love to swim. By the end of the week they were swimming like little fish!
This month we also went to Blueberry Hill Farms to pick blueberries and blackberries.
Jeremy's grandparents had an anniversary party in honor of their 55th wedding anniversary.
JULY
July was a fun month...and VERY HOT! Maybe because I was 7 months pregnant. My good friend, Robin, hosted a baby shower for me, along with 2 other ladies from church. Caren and Jennifer were also pregnant and we were all due within a few weeks of each other. One big baby shower. It was lots of fun!
We also enjoyed a playdate this month with some good friends!!
And, we were able to attend a Texas Rangers baseball game. We had tried to go once before but Camden got sick on the way to the game. So, we tried again and made it to the game, however, about half way into the game it started to rain really hard and never let up. The game got called on account of rain and we were drenched from head to toe. Luckily, the girls had pj's to change into for the 2 hr drive home. Despite the rain, we all had a good time and enjoyed our time together!
AUGUST
August was a very busy month for us. I decided to have a combined birthday party for Camden and Claire since baby #3 was due in September. We had a Garden Party at the Rose Garden and everyone had a great time.
Both girls got dress-up clothes for their party so they spent a lot of time this month playing pretend!
Celebrating Daddy's birthday
Celebrating Claire's "real" birthday
And finally, we attended our first Arp Tigers football game. Camden and Claire loved every minute of the game...the band, the cheerleaders, the players and the tiger mascot.
SEPTEMBER
We were so blessed this month to welcome Carlyle Reeves into our family on September 18, 2009. Carlye was 6 lb 15 oz and 19 1/2 inches long. She was born at 11:59am. It was a pretty easy labor and delivery. Camden and Claire were beyond excited to meet their baby sister. They adjusted very quickly to their new role as big sisters!!
OCTOBER
We started off the month with Camden's 5th birthday. We went to Chuck E. Cheese for dinner and then back to the house for cake and gifts. This was Carlyle's first time to Chuck E. Cheese and she slept right through it.
We also took a trip to the Pumpkin Patch
We went to the fair with Papa, Rachel, Rex and Jax
Uncle Jeremy came in for a visit to meet his newest niece
Carlyle took her first road trip to Waco for Baylor Homecoming
And we celebrated Halloween with Jax and Madeline
NOVEMBER
We took Camden and Claire to see Playhouse Disney Live. They loved seeing Mickey Mouse, Little Einsteins and Handy Manny!!
Thanksgiving was lots of fun. Uncle David and Aunt Mary got to meet Carlyle for the first time.
DECEMBER
A visit to see Santa was first on the list for this month.
Camden and Claire got to dress up as wisemen as part of a Christmas program at church. Aren't they so cute??
Claire joined Camden in choir this year at church and they sang a few songs for the Christmas program. Both did GREAT!!!
Merry Christmas!
Our 2009 was full of many blessings and fun memories! We wish you a very Happy New Year, full of God's riches and blessings!
