Wednesday Adventure

This afternoon, the girls and I got out to run a few errands. It had looked like rain all day and really hadn't done anything. That's until I decided to load three kids into the car and run around town. We made it through our first stop and then the rain started. It's not fun getting in and out of the car in the rain by myself, but when you add three kids to the mix, it's really not fun. Especially since two of the three kids still need me to buckle them in. Anyway, after our afternoon adventure we met Jeremy for dinner. Camden and Claire picked the restaurant, and if you know them well at all, you know they usually always pick Jalapeno Tree. So, that's where we went! After dinner we came home and played until bathtime. Carlyle had so much fun playing with her house. She was so entertained by the music, sounds, door that opened, mailbox and window. Seriously, this toy entertained her for about 45 minutes. Camden and Claire came in and out to say hi and bye and to pose for a picture.

Right before bath, I decided to try Carlyle's birthday dress on her. It's an 18 month so I figured my mom would have to hem it. I just wanted to see how much. Isn't she just adorable!!! I want to eat her up!!!! (By the way, I don't really like the shadows in these pictures. If you know how to get rid of them with Photoshop, feel free to enlighten me)

Bathtime Babes

New hair accessories

Carlyle's hair has finally grown just enough for me to put a clip in it. I think it's pretty cute, especially with the back of her hair sticking up. She reminds me of a peacock...a VERY CUTE and ADORABLE peacock!!

I'm Singing in the Rain

I forgot I had taken these pictures last week. The girls love to put on their rain boots and rain jacket and play out in the rain. I thought they looked so cute all dressed for the weather.

Just a swingin'

A Visit with the Principal

Wednesday morning the girls and I went with my Aunt Deb to Lindale. My aunt's good friend that she used to work with was recently hired to be the principal on Camden's campus. She wanted to introduce Camden to her new principal. Camden and Claire were so excited to "go to Camden's school". We met Mrs. Sustaire and both girls were a little shy at first. Unlike her sisters, Carlyle was very friendly to everyone as she jabbered and smiled away. We took a tour of the school and by the end, the girls had warmed up quite a bit. Camden even sat in Mrs. Sustaire's lap for a picture! After meeting Camden's principal, it is such a relief to know that she is SO NICE and KIND and I feel so confident that God put her on this campus for a reason...I happen to think that her name is Camden. I can't believe in less than a month we will find out who Camden's teacher it and will meet her on "Meet the Teacher" night. And I can't believe that in one month Camden will be entering her classroom on the first day of school! These last 5 years have flown by. Thinking of Kindergarten used to seem like forever away and now it's here. I know my kids have to grow up, but selfishly I wish they could stay little forever!

My baby is 10 months old!

Happy 10 month birthday, Carlyle! We love you so much and are so thankful that you are a part of our family! You bring so much joy to our lives and we love EVERYTHING about you! In honor of your 10 month birthday, here are 10 things (of course there are so many more) that we love about you that make you so unique and special!

1.your wild and crazy hair that sticks up (it's your trademark)

2.the way you roll your ankles and wrists, just like Camden used to do

3.how when you roll over on your tummy, you lift your legs up and stretch your arms out and way back, just like you are about to fly

4.your contagious smile

5.the fact that you are so content just sitting up playing while all your little friends at school crawl and walk around you

6.the fact that you adore your big sisters!!

7.how you have to have your minky blanket or lovie up by your face to snuggle with to go to sleep

8.how I can lay you in your bed and you will go to sleep on your own (even though I really wish you would snuggle with me and let me rock you)

9.how when we walk by, you reach up your hands in anticipation of us picking you up

10.when you hear mommy or daddy's voice, you will look and look, stretching your neck at times, just to find us.

We love you so much and can't believe that in 2 months, you will be a year old! These last 10 months sure have come and gone too quickly. You are growing up too fast. We are trying to savor every minute of you being little, because before long you will be starting Kindergarten. Boo hoo hoo!

Updates

Well, I know I have been M.I.A. for awhile now. We've been staying busy with school, trying to sell our house and just the fun activities of summer. And, to be honest, blogging just hasn't been a priority. But, I've decided to do some updates, especially since it seems that WE'VE SOLD OUR HOUSE!!!

For those of you that don't know, Jeremy got a new job in Lindale at the Intermediate campus, where he will be the Associate Principal. We really think this will be a good move. Aside from Jeremy trying to move up in the system, we had to consider where we want our kids to go to school, being that Camden will start Kindergarten in a little over a month. I wanted her to be at a school where I know the teachers and staff will genuinely care for her and look out for her best interest. Jeremy and I have both taught in Lindale before, he went to school there growing up and I truly feel that she will have a great experience there. It's nice to be friends with some of the teachers and staff in Lindale because I know they will watch out for my baby! That is so reassuring to a mama!! Anyway, we've been trying to sell our house since Jeremy got the job back in the spring. We got an offer on Thursday and finally worked out the details today and signed the contract. YEAH! We found a house in Hideaway Lake that we like and made an offer tonight. Hopefully, things will work out and we can get to packing.

OK...back to what we've been up to.

Here's a pic of the girls wearing one of their new dresses from Paris!!

We took Camden and Claire to see Toy Story 3. I'm not sure they loved it as much as I did, but it was such a cute movie!

Just a picture of Carlyle one night after I put her to bed. Thought it was cute.

And some pics of water fun! We got the girls a new slip n' slide and they have had the best time!

I had to get a picture of this. They were pretending that the bats were their oars and were rowing their boat, all while singing "Row, Row, Row your boat".

More family fun Monday

Today my parents were off work so they invited us over for lunch. They cooked out and the kids played. After lunch, they got the kiddie pools out and had a blast! We enjoyed another relaxing day with family! Back to schedules tomorrow.

Happy Carlyle
