Christmas craftiness

So I actually decided to be a little crafty this Christmas. When I was teaching 1st grade, we made these reindeer shirts and they were so cute! So, I decided to let my girls make their own reindeer shirts this year. We used their footprint for the reindeer's face and their handprints for the reindeer's antlers. Added a couple of googly eyes and a red pom pom for the nose and voila...a cute reindeer shirt!! Camden and Claire did great!!! They loved having their foot and hands painted and did great prints. Carlyle, on the other hand, was a bit more difficult. Her footprint was a piece of cake, but her handprints are another story. She would not open up her hand, therefore, I had to pry open her hand to make the print. When we were done, it looked like a blob of black paint. I had to go back with a q-tip to do a little touch-up. All the shirts turned out super cute! They wore them to school today and everyone loved them!! Maybe this will turn out to be a Christmas tradition, too. Who knows!!!
