Looks can be deceiving

Does this girl look like she has an ear infection?? OK, so looks can deceive. She has been fussy for the last week. Starting last Monday she developed a few cold symptoms, which progressed and got worse as the week went on. By Friday, she was miserable. She could barely get out a cry because she was so hoarse, her cough was deep in her chest, and one minute she would be congested and then she would sneeze and her nose would start running faster than I could wipe. Luckily, this bad cold didn't affect her sleeping at night until Friday night when she only woke up a few times and then Saturday night she woke up every hour. Fortunately, I was able to get her back to sleep with her pacifier, but you could tell she did not feel good! She continued to take her bottles fine until Sunday, when she only took a couple of ounces at each feeding. I went back and forth as to whether or not to take her to the doctor. I knew it was a cold and knew it would have to run its course. I waited until today to see how she was doing and she only took a couple of ounces this morning. I decided to make an appointment. My gut was telling me that it was probably her ears, but at least if it wasn't then I could rule that out. My gut was right! Poor baby!! Well, hopefully this medicine will kick in and Carlyle will be feeling well very soon!!
