Rangers Game-2nd attempt
Well, Friday night was the night that the girls' had been waiting for since the beginning of June. The Ranger's game! Our first attempt was at the end of June and we made it all the way to Dallas, sat down at On the Border for dinner before the game and Camden said she needed to throw up. We did make it to the bathroom, just not to the toilet. Anyway, the night was a total waste...got the girls back in the car for another 2 hour trip home. They were both very disappointed. Camden kept saying she felt so much better and wanted to go to the game. I just couldn't chance it. So, we ordered more tickets to see the Rangers and last night was the big night. The girls were so excited to see the game, especially because of the fireworks after the game. We made it to Dallas, back to On the Border and were able to eat this time. Got to the game right before it started and they were amazed at everything. In the bottom of the first inning, Claire asked me if it was time to go yet. From that point on, I knew their attention was not going to be on the game. They were bored already and we still had 8 more innings to go. In the second inning, Jeremy took them to walk around. They came back wanting me to take them back up so they could play some games. So, in the 4th inning Jeremy and I both took them into the gift shop to look around and we let Camden hit some balls off the tee. She started off with the yellow bat, but she kept missing the ball. So, she traded for the red jumbo bat and was hammering each one. Claire was pretty reluctant so she decided not to hit. As we were looking around for more games, the dark gray clouds moved over the ballpark and the winds picked up. We made it back to our seats and within about ten minutes it started to rain. We were under the covered part, but it started raining really hard and the wind was blowing the rain so we were getting a little wet. We, along with almost everyone else, walked up by all of the concessons and gates, just waiting for it to slack up. We waited, and waited, and waited. Camden and Claire did really well. They were both exhuasted, wet and cold. With no place to sit we continued waiting for about an hour. Finally, it let up enough for us to speed walk to the car. I quickly changed the girls out of wet dresses into dry pajamas, cleaned off their dirty feet and got them buckled into their car seats with their blankets. Claire was alseep within about 10 minutes. What a night! I know they were once again disappointed to not see any fireworks, but we were all glad to be out of the rain!

Play date
Today we went to Mrs. Leslie's house for a play date with Cullen and Grayson. Mrs. Kate met us there and brought along her gang, Preston, Lillie Katherine and sweet little Annaleigh. The big kids had lots of fun playing upstairs and making lots of noise. Camden really enjoyed watching a movie in the "movie feater" as she called it. Leslie and Ben have a theater room in their new home, which is SO cool! Leslie, your house is beautiful!!! We enjoyed our time with you, Kate and all the kiddos so much! Let's do it again soon! Before we left we tried for a group shot. I don't think we managed to get one with all seven of them looking at the camera. Grayson even escaped in the last one. Oh well, maybe next time we'll succeed.

Baby Shower
Tuesday night a good friend from church hosted a baby shower, not only for me, but for two other girls who are also pregnant (we're all having girls!). We had so much fun. There was a sea of gifts to open, delicious food and cake to eat, and delightful friends and family to visit with. Robin, thank you so much for a great evening! You did way too much but I greatly appreciate your generosity! Friends and family, thank you so much for coming out to celebrate the upcoming arrival of baby Carlyle. You all made it a very special night!

Splash Day!
Tuesday was Splash Day at school. Camden and Claire had been so excited all weekend about wearing their swimsuits to school. We woke up that morning to dark clouds and sprinkles, just hoping it would hold off until after lunch. It was VERY humid, but the weather cooperated for Splash Day. Thank goodness! Otherwise, we would have had some disappointed kids. Camden and Claire had so much fun!

Carlyle's 3D sonogram
We went this morning for a 3D sonogram of Carlyle. She seemed to cooperate pretty well. She's so cute! I can't wait to meet her!! Here are a few of the best pics.

She gave us a little smile. The thing above her head and to the right on every picture is the umbilical cord.

30 weeks 1 day
I went to the doctor today. It had been 3 weeks since the last visit and I only gained 2 pounds...yeah! It's probably because I can't eat as much anymore. There just isn't as much room as there used to be. Everything looked good with baby Carlyle. Dr. Lieb's first remark as she entered the room was, "Well, you sure are blossoming." Hmmm...I guess that's a nice way of saying that my belly is getting bigger. But, she's right...I do feel much bigger. My back is beginning to hurt and when I'm on my feet a lot I can feel them starting to swell. I feel like I'm even beginning to waddle. Oh well, just 2 more months to go! I think I can make it!!

All time worst!
Well, I do believe that of all the crazy stunts Camden and Claire have pulled, today was the all time WORST! We were at my parents' house, and while I'm working, the girls usually play with toys or watch cartoons. As I was working today, Camden came running in and said that Claire had poo-poo EVERYWHERE! I wasn't exactly sure what that meant, but I didn't hesitate to run to the bathroom. It was so much worse than I had imagined. Claire was standing in front of the commode with poop all over her hands, fingers, legs, feet, and toes. It was all over the floor (it actually looked like it had been smooshed by her feet), all over the commode (seat, lid, outside and inside) and all over the rug on the floor. I did yell a little bit at first, but she started crying so I backed down and told her it was OK. I honestly thought maybe she was trying to wipe, but couldnt understand how in the world it got everywhere. After using an entire tub of wipes cleaning her hands, fingers, legs, feet, toes, floor and commode, I put Claire in the tub where I assumed she would be safe. In the meantime, I was busy sterilizing the commode and floor and gathering up rugs, towels, and clothes to be washed. As I walked into the hall I noticed brown spots all the way to the living room. Yes, you know what it was...UGH!!! So, my next cleaning task was Resolve on the carpet...scrub, scrub, scrub!! Got that cleaned up and went back to bathe Claire. I scrubbed her down, from head to toe, just to make sure I didn't miss anything. After her bath she was dressed in some fresh, clean clothes while I sprayed Lysol to remove the smell. What a mess! After it was all over, I asked Claire how she got poop everywhere. I asked her if she was playing in it. Her response, "Yes, Mommy. I just like it." Needless to say, we had a long talk about how that is disgusting, gross, and yucky. And, she was informed that if she EVER did that again, she would be getting a spanking. Her response, "A real hard spanking, Mommy?" Maybe the terrible 2's have just started late for Claire. Let's hope not!!!
P.S. So sorry I didn't post any pics of this little stunt...I wasn't sure that any of you would have appreciated that. Besides, we all know what that stuff looks like anyway!
