Updates

Well, I know I have been M.I.A. for awhile now. We've been staying busy with school, trying to sell our house and just the fun activities of summer. And, to be honest, blogging just hasn't been a priority. But, I've decided to do some updates, especially since it seems that WE'VE SOLD OUR HOUSE!!!

For those of you that don't know, Jeremy got a new job in Lindale at the Intermediate campus, where he will be the Associate Principal. We really think this will be a good move. Aside from Jeremy trying to move up in the system, we had to consider where we want our kids to go to school, being that Camden will start Kindergarten in a little over a month. I wanted her to be at a school where I know the teachers and staff will genuinely care for her and look out for her best interest. Jeremy and I have both taught in Lindale before, he went to school there growing up and I truly feel that she will have a great experience there. It's nice to be friends with some of the teachers and staff in Lindale because I know they will watch out for my baby! That is so reassuring to a mama!! Anyway, we've been trying to sell our house since Jeremy got the job back in the spring. We got an offer on Thursday and finally worked out the details today and signed the contract. YEAH! We found a house in Hideaway Lake that we like and made an offer tonight. Hopefully, things will work out and we can get to packing.

OK...back to what we've been up to.

Here's a pic of the girls wearing one of their new dresses from Paris!!

We took Camden and Claire to see Toy Story 3. I'm not sure they loved it as much as I did, but it was such a cute movie!

Just a picture of Carlyle one night after I put her to bed. Thought it was cute.

And some pics of water fun! We got the girls a new slip n' slide and they have had the best time!

I had to get a picture of this. They were pretending that the bats were their oars and were rowing their boat, all while singing "Row, Row, Row your boat".

More family fun Monday

Today my parents were off work so they invited us over for lunch. They cooked out and the kids played. After lunch, they got the kiddie pools out and had a blast! We enjoyed another relaxing day with family! Back to schedules tomorrow.

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July! Our day was filled with lots of family, friends and fun!!! We started off going to church to hear a great patriotic musical from the choir. They did an outstanding job! Then we headed over to Marme' and Pops' house for lunch. They rented a huge inflatable water slide. The kids didn't even want to eat because they couldn't wait to play on the slide. They all had a blast, including most of the adults!! Jeremy, Rex, David, Jake and Rachel all had lots of fun with the kids. Even Marme' went down the slide and enjoyed soaking in the pool. I had to leave with Carlyle, but was informed before I left that Crystal was going to get in, too. I think everyone had a great time in the water.

After some fun in the sun, Claire decided to take a break to have a tea party with Gigi. That is one of her favorite things to do when she goes to Marme's house. She loves Gigi and loves tea parties!

Break time is over! Let's go down that slide again!

Jeremy, Camden and Claire stayed at Marme' and Pops for smores and fireworks tonight while I headed home with Carlyle. A sorority sister from Baylor, Laura Cooksey, was in town and sings back up for Mandisa, who was having a concert tonight. Mandisa was previously on American Idol and is now a Christian singer. She is amazing and has a great voice! Anyway, Laura got me tickets and so I invited my friend, Jamie, to come with me. We had a great time tonight! We ended the night at Orange Leaf for some yummy frozen yogurt! What a great Independence Day! Here are a few pictures of more fun at Marme's house courtesy of Aunt Crystal!

A Fun Friday Lunch

Friday after taking Carlyle to get her 9 month pictures, Jeremy was in town and we were going to meet for lunch. As much as we would prefer to eat anywhere other than Chuck E. Cheese, we decided to surprise the girls and be spontaneous by treating them to a fun lunch! They were so excited!! And, it was worth it to watch them have so much fun! Even Carlyle enjoyed riding some of the rides! And, these are the dresses that Nana and Papa brought back from Paris. Don't the girls look so cute in them?

Christmas in July

Nana and Papa went to London and Paris to see Uncle Jeremy and brought back lots of goodies for Camden, Claire and Carlyle! It was like Christmas in July! The girls couldn't wait to see what their surprises would be. Nana and Papa were very generous in getting gifts for the girls. Mommy and Daddy even got some gifts, too. Carlyle was happy to see her Papa (as were the other girls)! So glad Nana and Papa had fun on their trip!

They brought back Jeremy a shirt and some cookies from Paris. They also got him a golf towel, that may or may not still be in London. I'm sure it will turn up. They brought me back some chocolates and a skirt and top!

Camden and Claire both got new sunglasses and coloring books and paints sets

They also got these cool pencil sharpeners. Aren't they so cute??

Uncle Jeremy found this dress in Paris in all the girls' sizes and bought one for each niece. Isn't it adorable? Carlyle's even has a matching hat!

Nana and Papa also got the girls a matching dress. You will see a better picture of this dress in the next post.

Thanks Nana and Papa for all my stuff! I love you!!

Nana and Papa got to sit in Business class on their trip and were each given a little zippered bag full of goodies. So, Camden and Claire also got one of those which included fun stuff like socks, lotion, a pen, toothbrush and toothpaste, an eye mask, ear plugs and chapstick. They thought all that stuff was pretty neat! Thanks for thinking of us on your trip! We love you and love all of our goodies!
