Christmas Eve 2012

We spent Christmas Eve at Marme' and Pops' house and had a great time! All the cousins have so much fun together! We got a few pictures before it got crazy!!
Madeline and Carlyle being silly
We had a birthday party for Jesus!
Carlyle loved the cake!!
We had our annual White Elephant Gift exchange and Jake brought a great gift. A rat!! Rachel ended up with it and screamed so loud. It was hilarious!! Of course, the kids had to get a good look at it!!
Then, after all that excitement, Santa came and brought gifts for the kids. Everyone LOVED it, except Carlyle. She cried and cried. I have no idea how she can love every other Santa she sees and get totally terrified of the one on Christmas Eve. Oh well, Daddy saved the day and held her and read her the book that Santa brought.
Then the madness began. There were gifts, paper, and boxes everywhere. It was pure chaos, but so fun!!
Camden loved her new lamp and pillow! Thanks Marme' and Pops!!
After all the gifts were open, the guys brought in one last present. It was for Pops. Everyone went in together and got him a new 60" TV. He was shocked! It was a great surprise!!
After we got home, we had to sprinkle our reindeer food outside.
And we put out our cookies and chocolate milk for Santa!
We had a wonderful Christmas Eve and loved spending time with family! Thanks to the Chilek family for great food, lots of laughs and tons of memories!!

Baking with Nana

Last Sunday afternoon my mom helped the girls make Christmas cookies. They love getting to roll out the dough and pick out different cookie cutters. You can tell they are getting older when the mess isn't as big as it usually is:) They looked so cute in their new Christmas aprons, too. Thanks Nana for letting us make cookies. Santa sure did enjoy them!!

Breakfast with Santa

Last Saturday morning we went to Breakfast with Santa. The girls look forward to it every year. We all had a great time eating some yummy food and getting to visit with Santa. Carlyle was thrilled to get to sit in his lap and talk to him. She talked and talked to him. I'm not sure she gave Camden and Claire a chance to say anything. Can't wait til next year!!

David's Graduation Party

Saturday night we all attended a graduation party for David. It was alot of fun and we enjoyed seeing lots of David's friends from high school and college. We love you, David, and wish you all the best in the future. Good luck on the bar!!

Camden and Claire's Christmas Parties

This past Friday was the last day of school before Christmas and what better way to end the year than with a party!! Both girls' classes had parties, and luckily, they were at different times so I got to enjoy both! They had a great time eating sweets and checking out their bags full of goodies. We wish all of the students and staff a very Merry Christmas!

Visit to see Santa

After getting back in town from Houston, we finally had time to go see Santa at the mall. We usually don't wait this long to make our visit, but we've been so busy and haven't been able to squeeze it in. We've never really had to wait in line to see him, however, if you go on a Sunday around 3:00, there's a pretty good chance you will have a long line. We waited for a good 45 minutes, but the girls were SO SO good!! Carlyle had already made a couple of visits earlier this month, but she was still just as excited to see him again! She loves Santa and loved getting to visit with him!! And, he was so sweet with the girls and took a long time with them. I love our annual Santa pics and love looking back at the ones starting when the girls were little. Enjoy the flashback! 2004

We had a great weekend in Houston and enjoyed being with lots of family. Congrats David on such an accomplishment! We are so proud of you!

Claire's 1st grade Christmas program

On December 11, the 1st grade classes had a Christmas program. Claire was so excited to be performing with her friends. They sang some cute songs and did a great job! Thanks to our family for coming to cheer Claire on!
