Azalea Trail 2012

This afternoon we made our annual trip to see the beautiful azaleas. The Azalea Trail was full of locals and tourists who were enjoying the pretty weather and flowers. I had warned the girls that I wanted pictures and was hoping that they would all cooperate so we wouldn't be there forever. And, much to my surprise, they did GREAT!! After about 5 or 6 pictures, I knew I had gotten a good one of all three and I was thrilled. I was able to get a few individual pics and then the girls asked for more pictures. This was definitely the easiest photo shoot we've ever done...and we've done ALOT!!! I couldn't pick my favorite, so I decided to post all the good ones. So, enjoy the picture overload!!

What we've been up to...

This past week was Spring Break and it was so nice not to have a schedule. We stayed up late and slept late and did a whole lot of nothing. We did take the girls to the zoo and it was so nice! We got there early and the weather was perfect and was not at all crowded. When we were leaving there was a long line to get in. So glad we went early. Then we went to Chick-fil-a for lunch and enjoyed a fun family day!!

One night later in the week we were very spontaneous and decided to head to Tyler for dinner and then went to get yogurt at Orange Leaf after. The girls didn't get in bed until 10pm, which is super late for them. In fact, Carlyle was asking to go to bed:) I love that we did something out of the ordinary for us and enjoyed making memories!!

And we met the Bunts at the park for a picnic and playtime! The weather was gorgeous and we loved spending time with our dear friends!!

This past week we were able to slow down and just enjoy being together as a family. I like having a routine, keeping the kids on a schedule, etc.. but it was really nice to be able to relax this past week. I'm already looking forward to summer!!!! Can't wait:)

My birthday week!!

On March 5, I turned 34!! And what better way to celebrate a birthday than to make it last a full week!! I started off the birthday celebration by going out to eat with a few of my Lindale friends! We had such a fun night and I'm sad I didn't get any pictures of the evening.

The Sunday before my birthday we celebrated with Jeremy's family! Holly made one of my favorite meals, Swiss Steak!! It was so good! And for dessert...a Janie's cake! Yum!

On my actual birthday, Jeremy, the girls and I went to eat at Chuys! We had such a fun family night! We finished up my birthday with Orange Leaf yogurt!

A few days later the celebrating continued. We went to eat with my parents at Outback and then went back to their house for cake!

And, finally I ended the birthday celebration with another girls night with some friends from church! What a great birthday!! I am so blessed to be able to celebrate with family and friends!!

Shower for Baby Ella

At the end of February, Rachel, Holly and I hosted a baby shower for Crystal and baby Ella. We had the shower at Rachel's new house, which was beautiful! You would never have known that they had only been living in the house 2 weeks!! Rachel and Holly did a great job decorating and coming up with ideas. Honestly, I didn't do much at all, but appreciate the opportunity to help host! Everything was so cute and the food was delicious!! Crystal got some cute stuff for baby Ella! Everyone had a great time celebrating Crystal and Ella!!
