Madeline turns 2!!!

This afternoon we headed to Lindale for my niece's 2nd birthday party! It was a zoo theme, so I dressed the girls in their zebra clothes. They were so cute, and Madeline even wore zebra, too!! Camden and Claire were so excited about the animals that were at the party. They had goats that you could pet and feed, rabbits to hold, ducks, chickens and fish to feed. The animals entertained the kids for most of the party! There was a station set up for the kids to build their own zoo pal. They got to pick an animal and stuff it. Camden picked a black and white striped tiger and Claire picked a zebra. They both named their animals "Stripey". Uncle Jake stuffed a kangaroo for Carlyle. What a fun and memorable party! Happy Birthday, Madeline! We love you so much!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday night, a few friends and I had a Girls Night Out! We had so much fun! Here we are before heading to Oliveto for dinner.

Saturday morning I went with Jeremy to play golf. I didn't actually play, I just rode with him. It was fun just to hang out together. Then, we went to Jucy's for lunch. Later on that day we went to my cousin's wedding at the Rose Garden. The girls couldn't wait to go outside and look for goldfish in the pond. When we got home Saturday night, we quickly put the girls to bed and got busy with cleaning house. We had an Open House on Sunday afternoon. My mom had already done ALOT Saturday morning while she kept the girls for us, but we still had alot to do. Jeremy even stayed home from church this morning to mow the yard and finish the inside of the house. Our house looked AMAZING--inside and out! Unfortunately, there wasn't a huge turn out. In fact, there were only two people that came to look at it, and neither one was in the market to buy a home right now. It's kind of frustrating to work so hard and not get a good response. Oh well...the selling of our house is in God's hands and He knows the perfect timing. Just need to be patient! We had a great weekend together and are looking forward to the last week of school for the girls until the summer session starts up. Hope everyone has a great week!!

Pre-K Graduation

Today was Pre-K Graduation at school and Camden was so excited about getting to wear a cap and gown and walk on stage. This morning before school we gave Camden a gift. She loved her Graduation bear and wanted to take him to school to show everyone.

I wanted Camden to wear a dress to graduation, but knew the gowns were red and all of her dresses were pink. Pink and red would clash...therefore, I had to get her a new dress. I ended up finding coordinating outfits for all the girls. They were really cute. They were smocked dresses with alligators or crocodiles (one of the two) carrying lunch boxes heading to the school bus. How appropriate! I tried to get a picture of the three sisters before going to school, but it seems to get harder every time I attempt it!

After graduation, the Pre-K class was treated to pizza, cake and ice cream. Later, they got to have fun in a bounce house and watch a movie! What a fun day of celebrations!! Thank you Mrs. Connie and Mrs. Chaney for a great year! Camden has had such a wonderful time in your class and she has learned so much! I have no doubt she will succeed in Kindergarten because of your preparation! And, thanks to Mrs. Robin for making this day so special, not only for the preschoolers, but for their parents and family! We love you all! I know Camden will miss seeing you next year!!

8 months old!!

Carlyle is 8 months old today. I can't believe how fast the time has flown. She finally started sitting up this past weekend. She loves playing with her toys and constantly has something in her mouth. I'm thinking we may have a tooth soon, but who knows. Carlyle has been so different than Camden and Claire so I'm choosing not to predict anything with her. Currently, she takes a 6 ounce bottle every four hours and gets baby food three times a day. She is doing better about opening her mouth and eating her food, but she really prefers all the "graduate" foods, like puffs, baby cheetohs, and yogurt melts. When I get the bag of yogurt melts out she smiles so big and starts shaking her hands. Carlyle is starting to do better with her sippy cup, but most of the time just gnaws on the spout. It must feel good on her gums. But, she does suck every now and then and will get some juice out, which she really likes. She loves drinking water out of a real cup and will grab the cup with her hands and pull it toward her mouth. She will get so mad when I take it away. She's still a mama's girl, but loves her daddy. She's always so happy to see him when he gets home from work! Carlyle is growing up so fast...too fast! I LOVE the age that she is at right now. She's so happy and playful...I really wish she could stay this age forever! 8 months is great!

Singing in big church

Tonight Camden and Claire's church choir had their spring performance. They got to sing in big church and they were so excited. I tried to get a picture of the girls before we headed out. The picture taken outside is a little dark so we decided to go in and try. All three girls were in a great mood, so getting a smile was not too hard. Camden and Claire did a great job singing. They have loved choir this year, but it will be nice to have a break this summer.

Fun Saturday

This morning the girls, Nana and I went over to visit Aunt Shirley. It's been 7 months and she still had never seen Carlyle in person. We tried to make it over to see her in December, but with both of our busy schedules, it never worked out. Today it finally happened and she was SO excited to see the girls. Camden and Claire immediately gave her a hug when they saw her, which made her day. She held Carlyle for awhile, until she got fussy because she was hungry. I'm so glad we made the effort to go visit her because I know she thoroughly enjoyed seeing us.

After a few errands, we headed back to Nana and Papa's house to rest. Jeremy was umpiring in Dallas and wouldn't be back until later so we ate dinner with my parents. Last night, Jeremy had Carlyle on the floor playing and she was sitting up so good. Usually she will sit up for awhile and then fall. Today I sat her on the floor with some toys and she sat up by herself for a good 30 minutes without falling. I guess we officially have a sitter!! Yeah!! I think it's about time, now that most kids her age are actually crawling. Oh well...since she's my last I'm happy to take things nice and slow!

Camden and Claire had been bugging me to let them swim in the kiddie pools at Nana's house so I finally gave in. We put some warm water in one of the pools and let Carlyle try it out. She had fun playing with some bath toys and was easily entertained by her big sisters.
